How to Cut Hershey’s Sundae Pie

Cutting into your Hershey’s Sundae Pie will be quite easy. You can simply use a sharp knife to cut it and a pie server to serve it. The crust will not be stuck to the pan. And ideally you should be able to remove nice, neat slices easily from the pie plate.

How To Store Hershey’s Sundae Pie

Your fully assembled pie can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. If you are simply storing your fully assembled pie in the refrigerator for a few hours before serving it, it does not need to be covered. However, if you are storing a few left-over slices in the refrigerator for a longer amount of time, you might want to consider moving it into an airtight container to help maintain the crispness of the crust.

Can Hershey’s Sundae Pie Be Made Ahead?

es. Your Chocolate Hershey’s Sundae Pie can be made in advance. For a crunchy crust, it is best if eaten the same day as it is made. However, it can be made ahead. I wouldn’t recommend making it any more than the day before.

If you’re going to make it the day before, you might also want to consider toasting the cookie crumb crust before adding the pudding mixture. This can be done in a 375 degree oven for about 10 minutes. It will help to maintain the crisp aspects of the crusts for a longer amount of time.

Tips for Making Copycat Hershey Sundae Pie

1. When creating the chocolate (second) layer, if your mixture comes out too stiff you’ll want to add a bit of milk at a time to loosen it up and achieve your desired consistency.

2. Use the store brand of chocolate cookies, if available instead of the Oreo brand to cut the cost of the cookies in half or less.

3. Use powdered sugar in the whipped cream layer instead of granulated sugar to help keep it from separating.

4. Drizzle a little or a lot of Hershey’s syrup (third layer), depending on your personal preference.

Burger King’s Hershey’s Sundae Pie

Burger King describes their Hershey’s Sundae Pie as having a crunchy chocolate crust and chocolate creamy filling, garnished with a delicious topping and real Hershey’s ® chocolate. The availability at Burger King varies by location. But if you have a chance to give it a try, we know you’ll find that this recipe gives it a stiff competition.
