This recipe is not your average chili recipe.  Turkey And Red Bean Chili, is packed full of flavors that will explode in harmony on your taste buds. 

This Turkey And Red Bean Chili recipe has a complex flavor, derived from the beer, spices,  a squeeze of lime juice in addition to the cilantro. It is not your typical chili, it is wonderful and you are going to have to try it for yourself!

You Will Need:

Onion
Red bell pepper
Green pepper
Garlic
Olive oil
Turkey that has been ground
Chili powder
Kidney beans that are rinsed and drained
Whole peeled tomatoes
Beer 
Water
Lime juice
Chopped fresh cilantro

How To:

Cut up the onion and peppers. Place onion, peppers and garlic into a large, heavy pot to sauté with a splash of olive oil until slightly browned. Sprinkle in salt and pepper. 

Add in the turkey and more salt if desired. Cook until the turkey begins to turn brown. 

Add kidney beans, tomatoes, beer, and water. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat but keep the chili simmering. Stir occasionally. Cook on medium – low heat for 30 minutes or until chili is cooked through. 

Add in lime juice and cilantro leaves and stir in. 

Ladle into warm bowls and serve.

  • 2 cans whole peeled tomatoes puréed
  • 1 beer
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 lime juiced
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • garlic powder to taste
