Ingredients For Crumbl Mom’s Recipe Cookies

Butter. For this recipe, we prefer to use salted butter, however, unsalted may be used. Please keep in mind, if you choose to use unsalted butter, this will change the overall flavor of your cookies.

Brown Sugar. Using brown sugar to sweeten your cookies will help to give them more of a toffee-like flavor and texture.

Granulated Sugar. Granulated sugar is used also to sweeten the cookies. Although you can use all one type of sugar, in our opinion you will get a better overall flavor and texture using a mixture of the sugars.

Eggs. Medium or large eggs will work well for this recipe. Use the entire egg for the best results.

Vanilla. We typically use vanilla extract in this recipe.

All-Purpose Flour. For this recipe, your basic all-purpose flour works really well. Please note that if you like your cookies to be more on the flat side, you will want to decrease the amount of flour included. On the other hand, if you like your cookies to be extra thick, increase the amount of flour included in these cookies.

Quick Oats. We like to use quick oats when making this copycat recipe. You may, however, use old-fashioned rolled oats if you prefer.

Cinnamon. Adding cinnamon to these cookies gives you a unique and delicious flavor, with just a hint of cinnamon.

Salt. Salt included in the recipe is a must. We also enjoy adding large sprinkles of sea salt to the cookies when they are fresh from the oven for that delicious sweet and salty mix.

Baking Soda. This is needed as a leavening agent for your cookies.

Baking Powder. This is also included as a leavening agent for your cookies.

Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips. Semi-sweet chocolate chips add a lovely hint of chocolate to the cookies without being overpowering in their sweetness. You can also try substituting dark chocolate if you would rather.

Toffee Pieces. Toffee pieces make a delicious addition to your cookies, so that they are a bit on the chewy side, but have a lovely flavor.

Peanut Butter Chips. Peanut butter chips add a bit of sweetness and savory to your cookies so that they taste amazing. You may also substitute with butterscotch chips if you wish.

How To Make Crumbl Mom’s Recipe Cookies

To start off making Mom’s recipe Crumbl cookie is very similar to your basic cookie recipe. Begin by allowing your butter to sit at room temperature so that it gets soft. Add your butter to a mixing bowl and cream it. Next, add your brown sugar, granulated sugar and stir to combine. Then, add your eggs and mix in. You will then want to add your flour, oatmeal, cinnamon, salt, baking soda, baking powder, and vanilla. Stir to combine. At this point, if you prefer your cookies to be thinner, you’ll want to withhold some of the flour, if you prefer your cookies on the thicker side, add a little extra flour. Once stirred to combine, add in your semi-sweet chocolate chips, toffee, and peanut butter chips. Stir just until they are mixed.

Now you will want to lightly grease your cookie sheets and preheat your oven to 350°F. Roll your cookie dough, into your balls, a little smaller than a ping pong ball, spaced evenly on your cookie sheet. Place them in the oven once it is heated, and bake for 8 to 12 minutes, or until the cookies are done to your liking. Sprinkle your cookies with sea salt then allow them to cool before removing them off the cookie sheet. Serve and enjoy!

Tips For The Best Oatmeal Cookies

Tip #1: Bake at the right temperature.

To bake the cookies evenly, so that they are done on the outside and inside, it is very important to bake at the correct temperature. We like to bake these cookies at 350°F for them to be done the best. You may also use 375°F, however, we do not recommend changing the temperature much.

Tip #2: Use the right proportions of ingredients.

Using the right proportions of ingredients will determine how your cookies turn out. Many cookies are made with similar ingredients. But the key is to use the correct proportions of those ingredients for different outcomes.

Tip #3: Portion the dough into large and equal cookie dough balls.

To achieve cookies that are uniform in appearance, a great way to do this is to roll your cookie dough into balls, that are equal in size before baking. Then place them evenly spaced on your cookie sheet before baking. This will help them turn out nicely and all look similar.

Cookie Storage Recommendations

There are two main ways you can store these cookies. Those ways are in the freezer or at room temperature. You will not want to store them in the fridge, because they have a tendency to get tough.
