Italian Sausage Pita Pizza With Peppers And Carrots can be created using pita bread as the pizza crust. It not only saves time but is also easy, and it works well if you like a crispy crust. We use carrots, onions and peppers on this pizza, but of course you can add any other favorite pizza toppings to embellish this dish and make it your own quick and easy, custom pizza.

olive oil 
Italian sausage
tomato sauce 
red onion
white onion
yellow bell pepper
grated mozzarella 
basil leaves  

Preheat the oven to 500F. 

Heat the olive oil in a medium sauté pan over high heat. When the oil is hot, add the sausage and stir, crumbling it into small pieces. Leave the sausage to brown for about 2 minutes, then stir to brown evenly throughout, cooking it for about 2 more minutes. 

Lay the pitas on a large baking sheet, and spread with tomato sauce. Top with onion, carrots, sausage, pepper and mozzarella (as well as any other desired toppings).

Bake until cheese is melted and bubbling, about 5 minutes.
