Lime juice
Black beans
Cilantro
Salsa
Cheese
Tortillas

How to Make Moe’s Chicken?

Before you begin cooking, we will start off by marinating the chicken. To do this you will need thawed chicken that is cut into bite-size pieces. Then, add your check into a plastic bag that seals, and mix with olive oil, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, and lime juice. Allow your chicken to marinate 4-6 hours.

Before you’re ready to cook, pour the entire chicken mixture into a skillet, and cook over medium-low heat until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.

Rinse and drain your black beans, then add to the chicken mixture after your chicken has fully cooked. Allow the beans to warm over low heat, so that you don’t overcook your chicken, but warm the beans.

In a clean skillet, drizzle with olive oil, and turn your heat to low. When warm, add one tortilla shell and sprinkle shredded cheese on top. Let the tortilla warm only until your cheese is melted. Then assemble your burrito by adding a layer of chicken and beans along with salsa and cilantro. Serve and enjoy.

Optional Ingredients

You might also enjoy adding some Mexican rice, onions, peppers, or guacamole to your mixture. These are all optional ingredients; however, they do help to make your burritos even better. If you are adding onions or peppers, we recommend adding them along with the black beans to your chicken mixture. If you are making Mexican rice, it should be prepared in a separate pan. Guacamole may also be prepared in a separate mixing bowl, then added to your tortilla as it is assembled. Get creative and add your favorite Mexican twists to this delicious burrito.

Safe Temperature For Cooking Chicken:

Chicken is typically best cooked over medium or low heat. Chicken must be cooked until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F. If the chicken does not get that warm inside, it is still raw, and cannot be eaten. Using an Instant read thermometer works well to determine the internal temperature of your chicken. Be sure that it is at least 165°F inside your chicken before serving.
