Peppermint Simple Syrup

Share:

Peppermint simple syrup is an easy to make recipe that is a part of our Starbucks Peppermint Hot Chocolate, or it can be added to hot coffee, tea or any other drink that you’d like to have some peppermint flair. We like to think of it as giving a bit of that Christmasy flavor to your drink. It can be made in just 6 minutes and will keep in the refrigerator for up to 2 months.

Ingredients

1 tsp peppermint extract
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup water

Instructions

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine all 3 ingredients, bring to a boil stirring regularly until the sugar dissolves.

Transfer to a heat proof container and store in the refrigerator until used.
