How To Make The Easiest Turkey Burger Sliders
One word of caution as you begin making these sliders. Keep in mind that you are handling poultry, which means the internal temperature of your sliders must reach 165°F, and you should be careful to wash your hands often, just like when you are handling raw chicken.
Begin by adding your ground turkey to a mixing bowl and add in your seasonings. Mix them together, then remove portions of the meat and create your patties.
Once your turkey slider patties are made, it is time to cook them. My family enjoys cooking the sliders on a griddle. However, you can also cook them in a skillet or even bake them in the oven. The concept is similar for each.
Place your slider patties on your warm griddle and allow to cook until one side is brown. This will take about 5 minutes. Sprinkle the top of your patties with a bit more of your garlic, salt, and pepper seasoning.
Flip the patties, and cook on the other side for an additional five minutes. Once the remaining side is cooked, check the internal temperature of your patties. If they are not yet at 165°F, keep cooking them. Once your patties are finished cooking, top with cheese and allow it to melt over low heat. Remove the patties from the heat, serve and enjoy!

Tips
Fully Cooked. Sometimes it is difficult to tell if the sliders are cooked through all the way. If you are unsure, you can always try taking a knife and slitting the center of one slider open. If they are all about the same size, this should allow you to judge adequately if they are fully cooked or not. Please remember that you should always air on the side of caution with ground turkey burgers. Because they are poultry, these sliders should never be eaten if they are even slightly undercooked. When you remove them from the heat, there must not be any pink remaining.
Smashing. A technique that often works well when cooking these sliders is to form the raw ground turkey into balls. Then when you place them onto your warmed surface, use a spatula and smash them out into your burger size. Throughout the cooking process, you may need to smash them down a few more times, as they tend to ball up while cooking.
