Hot Christmas Spiced Tea Ingredients

Water
Black tea bags
Cranberry mango or cranberry pineapple juice
Orange juice
Cinnamon
Sugar
Ground cloves
Ground nutmeg
Lemon juice
Apple or oranges
Cinnamon stick (optional)

How To Make

To begin make your spice mix. Make your mix by combining sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves in a jar with a lid and shaking until it is combined. You can use this mix in all kinds of ways. Another of my favorites is to add about a tablespoon of this mixture into a glass of warmed apple juice for a homemade version of spiced apple cider.

Once the spice mix is combined, you can begin to make your Christmas tea. Make your tea by adding water to a saucepan and bringing the water to a boil. Once boiling, turn your water to low and add your teabags. Let the tea bags soak for 5 minutes, then remove them.

Add part of your spice mix, cranberry juice, orange juice, lemon juice, and slices of apples into your tea water. Allow the mixture to boil for 1 minute before you remove it from the heat. Serve while warm and enjoy!

Tips for Making Spiced Tea

Spice Mix. When preparing your Christmas tea recipe, it is very important that you prepare the spice mix by itself, then add a portion of this mix to your tea. You will not want all the spice mixture to be added, but you will want to include part of it to get the amazing flavors. This spice mixture also makes a great gift, we will cover more about this later.

Boiling. Bring your tea mixture to a boil, once everything is added, is a very important step. Boiling will help the sugar and spices stay mixed into the tea. You may still see some of the spices sink to the bottom, but simply give your tea a stir to mix them back in.

Apples or Oranges. The choice between using apple or orange slices will help determine the final flavor of your tea. If you prefer an overall citrus flavor with a hit of apple, then be sure to add the oranges. However, if you prefer an apple flavor with a hit of citrus, apples will do the trick for you. Of course, there is always the option to add both if you want! This will make both flavors more prominent.

How to Serve this Spiced Holiday Tea

Spiced Christmas tea is great when you serve it hot or cold. This tea recipe is also great when served as a treat throughout the day or with a meal. I enjoy serving it warm, with apple or orange slices in it, for added appeal. Sometimes, I like to keep it available in a crockpot on warm, so that my guests can help themselves as well. Now, for the Christmas tea recipe, that shows you step-by-step how to make this delicious drink.

Hosting A Christmas Afternoon Tea

Everyone loves a tea party, so what better way to celebrate than by hosting a Christmas afternoon tea. There are some great ways to host a lovely tea, and not completely tire yourself out in the process.

Hosting A Christmas Tea Recipes

When hosting a Christmas tea, there are a few necessary recipes that you will need. First, the tea. Our Christmas tea recipe above makes for the perfect tea to feature at your tea party. Then all that is left is the food. Don’t feel like you have to make everything. But what you do make, we have a few helpful recipes for you to keep things simple.

How To Host A Perfect Christmas Tea Party

There are three main things to consider when hosting the perfect Christmas tea party. First the tea, second the food, and third the decorations. Decorations can take care of themselves, as you can use anything Christmas-related, so this leaves the food and tea.

Things To Remember When Hosting Your Tea Party

When you are hosting your tea party, remember to not stress yourself out. We have got you covered on the tea recipe, and your decorations can be anything Christmassy. So that only leaves the food. For the food, remember you don’t have to make everything yourself. Try to buy some delicious treats or ask your guests to each bring something to pass. This will leave you with some tasty sandwiches to make to go with your tea.

Sandwich Filling Ideas

A super-easy way to make a few different types of sandwiches for your Christmas tea is to buy several loaves of the same bread, but prepare or purchase different types of sandwich fillings. Some great sandwich filling ideas include, egg salad, chicken salad, cream cheese, ham, smoked salmon, mustard, peanut butter, and raspberry jelly.

Ingredients

2 whole loaves soft white bread
4 ounces thinly sliced ham
4 ounces sliced smoked salmon
4 ounces whipped cream cheese
1/8 cup Dijon mustard
1 cups raspberry jelly
½ cup peanut butter
1 cups prepared egg salad
1 cups prepared chicken salad
1 cup prepared cucumber salad

Instructions

To prepare the sandwiches, simply spread out the bread, and divide up the six different sandwich options. Make the sandwiches, then cut each sandwich into an X shape, so that you have four triangles per sandwich. Arrange your cut pieces of sandwiches and cute serving dishes and place them out to serve. Serve and enjoy.
