Ingredients

Pumpkin Puree. One of the reasons why this pumpkin spice coffee creamer is so good is because it has real pumpkin in it. This is added by adding pure pumpkin purée to the coffee creamer.

You can use a can of pumpkin purée or you can make your own from fresh pumpkins, whatever your preference. However, if you are choosing to use canned pumpkin purée, make sure that it does specify that it is pure pumpkin purée instead of pumpkin pie filling

Pumpkin Pie Spice. The next ingredient you want to have on hand is pumpkin pie spice. You can buy this amazing spice already made at your local grocery store, with the spices and seasonings.

Or you can make your own homemade pumpkin pie spice using a spice blend of ground ginger, allspice, cinnamon, cloves, and even a little bit of black pepper.

Ground Cinnamon. You will also want to have some ground cinnamon on hand to add to the coffee creamer. You can use a cinnamon stick in a pinch if needed, but the ground cinnamon is going to give you the best results.

Maple Syrup. I like to use maple syrup as a sweetener for the pumpkin pie spice coffee creamer. Maple syrup is nice because it is a more natural ingredient since it is made from tree sap.

But if needed you can use brown sugar as a great alternative. Brown sugar is sometimes a great alternative because it costs much less to buy from the grocery store than maple syrup does.

You can also add sweetened condensed milk as another choice of sweetener if you’re looking for an alternative. Keep in mind that we will give you a recommended amount of sweetener to add in the recipe below, but the level of sweetness is entirely up to your taste preferences.

Vanilla Extract. Vanilla extract can help to add a hint of vanilla flavor to your pumpkin spice coffee creamer.

Milk. Milk is one of the most common options to use as the base of your coffee creamer. However, another great option is to use heavy cream, half-and-half, or a combination of these types of milk.

You can also choose to use milk alternatives such as coconut milk, almond milk, cashew milk, or soy milk for dairy-free pumpkin spice creamer.

How to Make Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer

To make the pumpkin spice coffee creamer, you will want to start off by taking a small saucepan and placing it over medium heat. Add the pumpkin pie spice, pumpkin purée, cinnamon, and maple syrup to the saucepan.

Bring the mixture to a light simmer and whisk in. Continue whisking for approximately one minute while the mixture simmers, then remove it from the heat.

Allow the mixture to cool, then whisk in your desired kind of milk, add vanilla extract. Whisk until the mixture is combined.

You can add the coffee creamer to your hot coffee right away, or transfer the coffee creamer to the airtight container, such as a mason jar, and store it in the fridge until you are ready to use it. Please know if you’re using the coffee creamer in iced coffee, you want to allow it to chill thoroughly for an hour or two before adding it to your iced coffee.

You will want to brew your coffee as you normally would, using your preferred method. Then add a little bit of the pumpkin spice coffee creamer, or according to your taste preferences to your brewed coffee. Enjoy!

How to Store Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer

At room temperature. Your pumpkin spice coffee creamer should remain at room temperature for no more than two hours when your room temperature is between 40°F and 90°F.

If your room temperature is 90°F or above, then it is safe at room temperature only for one hour before it goes bad. However, for the best results, you will want to refrigerate the pumpkin spice coffee creamer when it is not in use.

In the fridge. The best way to store your prepared pumpkin spice coffee creamer is to keep it in the fridge. You will want to transfer it to an airtight container or seal it in a Mason jar. Then place in the refrigerator for approximately one week.

Please know that the exact amount of time that your coffee creamer will last will depend on what type of milk you used, and how long that milk product lasts.

You can easily make this pumpkin spice coffee creamer recipe in a dairy-free version by substituting the milk for your favorite dairy-free milk. Some good options include almond milk, coconut milk, and soy milk.
