There is something tropical or warm weather feeling about eating pineapple. And if you like pineapple, you’ll like this Pineapple Glaze recipe. It is super easy to make, and of course it can be used for a variety of things. We think it is great for topping off an Easter ham, for cheesecake topping, cake topping or even to top off your bowl of ice cream. This recipe makes enough to top a 9 inch cheesecake.

Pineapple Glaze

Equipment
small saucepan

Shopping List
can crushed pineapple
lemon
sugar
cornstarch
water

Pineapple Glaze

Instructions:
Heat lemon juice, sugar, pineapple and syrup from the pineapple in a small saucepan.
Stir occasionally and cook over medium heat, until mixture comes to a boil.

Mix together cornstarch and water to make a smooth paste. Stir into the pineapple mixture and cook over medium heat, stirring continually, until glaze thickens and turns clear. Remove from heat and cool. When cool, glaze can be spread.
