How to Cook Frozen Sweet Potato Fries in Air Fryer

Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (176.7°C)

Remove your frozen fries from the freezer. Open your package of frozen sweet potato fries and pour them into your air fryer basket. Lightly coat your fries with your favorite oil, or oil spray. Toss the fries so that they are coated evenly, and lay in a single layer in the air fryer basket.

Place your air fryer basket in your air fryer, close your air fryer, and air fry your sweet potato fries at 350°F for approximately 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes, remove the air fryer basket, toss the fries to rotate them, and replace the basket. Continue air frying for an additional 2 to 8 minutes depending on your air fryer. Check on them often so that you do not burn them.

When your fries are finished air frying, remove them from the fryer. Add your sauce, serve, and enjoy!

Please note, we have found that you get the best results when the fries are in a single layer in your air fryer basket. If you are not able to do this, you will want to remove your basket partway through cooking and toss the fries so that they rotate and are able to cook evenly.

How Long to Air Fry Frozen Sweet Potato Fries

The amount of time it takes for your frozen sweet potato fries to cook in the air fryer will depend on how many fries you are cooking, how frozen they are, and your specific air fryer as some air fryers cook faster and hotter than others.

On average it will take a total of 12 to 18 minutes to air fry frozen sweet potato fries.

How to Serve

Sweet potato fries are perfect for a side dish to most any meal. You can also enjoy these fries as an appetizer if desired. We recommend serving the prepared fries fresh from the air fryer. If desired you can serve the fries alongside your favorite dipping sauce.

Storage Instructions

Room Temperature. We recommend that your fries are not kept at room temperature any longer than two hours for the best practices of food safety.

Fridge. Once the fries have cooled, they can be transferred to an air tight container, and placed in the fridge for three to four days.

Freezer. We do not recommend that you try to refreeze sweet potato fries.

Reheat Sweet Potato Fries

If you would like to reheat leftover sweet potato fries there are a few different ways you can do this, including in the microwave, oven, stovetop, and in air fryer.

Microwave. Simply place the sweet potato fries on a microwave-safe dish and microwave for a minute or two until warmed through. Please note that microwaving them may cause them to be soggy.

Oven. To reheat sweet potato fries in the oven, place them on a lightly greased baking pan, and bake at 350°F for 10 to 15 minutes or until warmed.

Stovetop. Another way you can reheat sweet potato fries is in a skillet on the stovetop. Simply add your fries, and a little bit of oil, then place the pan over medium heat. Allow the pan to heat until the fries are warmed through, flipping the fries occasionally.

Air Fryer. Our favorite way to reheat leftover sweet potato fries is using the air fryer. Simply add the fries back into the air fryer that has been preheated to 350°F, then air fry for 5-8 minutes, or until the fries are warmed.
