But first, let’s explore what exactly chicken cordon bleu is, in case you are wondering.

What Is Chicken Cordon Bleu?

Chicken cordon bleu is made from chicken, ham, and cheese, and covered in a breading. This type of stuffed chicken breast can be purchased in the freezer section. The chicken breast is flattened and then rolled up with a slice of ham, and cheese in the center. The chicken is then covered in a breading.

There are other versions of this frozen food as well. Some chicken breasts are stuffed with broccoli and cheese, or other fillings.

Most of the time the frozen chicken cordon bleu will come pre-cooked, and all you must do is reheat it. But you will want to be sure to double-check the package instructions, to make sure it is in fact fully cooked.

There are some stores that sell raw frozen chicken cordon bleu, so make sure you know what you are cooking. If yours is raw, you will want to be sure it reaches the internal temperature of 165°F in the chicken section before it is safe to consume.

Although you can warm the frozen chicken cordon bleu in several different ways, our favorite is to warm it in the air fryer. Another way it can be warmed is in the oven, or if it is fully cooked, it can also be reheated in the microwave.
