Method of Preparing Step by Step:

To make the potato salad, you will start off by boiling your potatoes and eggs. You will want to make your eggs so that they are hard-boiled, then your potatoes should be soft. After each of these has boiled, drain the water and then chill in your refrigerator. 

Move the shell from your eggs, and dice. If desired, peel your potatoes, and then cut your potatoes into cubes. Place your potatoes and eggs into a mixing bowl.

Next, finely chop your onion, seed and chop your pepper, and chop your celery. Add all of these to your mixing bowl with potatoes and eggs. Add in celery seed, sweet relish, yellow mustard, mayonnaise, and season with salt and pepper. Stir to combine, being careful not to mash or crumble your potatoes.

5 lb red skinned potatoes, scrubbed

8 large eggs, hard-boiled

1 medium onion, white or red

1 medium green bell pepper

2 stalks celery, chopped

¾ cup mayonnaise

2 Tbsp pickle relish

Step 1

Step 3

Once your potatoes and eggs have cooled, remove the shell from your eggs, dice your eggs and potatoes, and place them into a mixing bowl. Next, finely chop your onion, seed and finely chop your green pepper, and finely chop your celery. Mix all of these together, being careful to not mash or crumble your potatoes. 

Step 4

Into your potato mixture, add mayonnaise, yellow mustard, and pickle relish. Season with salt and pepper. Stir until your potato mixture is coated in your mayonnaise mixture.
