Strawberries. Strawberries are one of the main ingredients that make up this delicious smoothie recipe. We strongly recommend that you use frozen strawberries for the best results in this smoothie.

Pineapple. Pineapple is the other main fruit that is used for this delicious Bahama Mama Smoothie Recipe. We recommend that you use frozen pineapple to make this smoothie taste the best possible.

White Chocolate Syrup. Other different variations call for a variety of ways to make this smoothie using either white chocolate chips or white chocolate syrup, we recommend making your own white chocolate syrup using white chocolate chipscoconut oil, and a little bit of your favorite milk or heavy cream

Milk or Juice. For the liquid in this recipe, the most common way to make this movie is to use coconut milk. However, our favorite way to make this movie is to use orange juice.

You can choose whether to use your favorite kind of milk, orange juice, or even apple juice. You can also use pineapple juice for additional pineapple flavor.

Please note that if you choose to make this smoothie using milk, it will have more of a milkshake-like texture to it. Then if you choose to use juice, it will have more of an icy or smoothie texture to it.

Lemon Juice. We enjoy adding just a splash of lemon juice to our drink to give it enhanced flavor. This is optional, but we recommend it!

How to Make a Bahama Mama Smoothie

To make this delicious smoothie recipe, first begin by freezing or buying frozen fruit. We strongly recommend that you use frozen strawberries and frozen pineapple. If you do not have frozen fruit you will need to include ice.

First, make your white chocolate syrup. And a microwave-safe bowl combine your chocolate chips, coconut oil, and microwave for 30 seconds increments until melted. Once melted stir in milk, and mix until combined.

Into the blender add your frozen fruit, chocolate syrup, and your choice of milk or juice. Add your lid onto your blender and blend until your smoothie is smooth and no chunks remain. Pour into your serving glass, and serve right away, enjoy!

Tips for Success

Use Frozen Fruit. You’ll need frozen fruit to make a smoothie. You will get a more flavorful smoothie as opposed to using fresh fruit and adding ice. When you add ice, it dilutes the smoothie and does not taste as good as it could.

Make Then Enjoy. Although there are ways you can store the smoothie for later, we recommend preparing it right before you want to serve it. This will give you the overall best flavor, taste, and texture to your smoothie.

Make Ahead White Chocolate Syrup. We have found that it works best to make your white chocolate syrup in advance and allow it to cool in your refrigerator.

This will allow you to add cooled chocolate syrup to your smoothie rather than adding it hot and unnecessarily causing your fruit to thaw quickly.

Variations & Mix-ins

There are many ways you can mix up the smoothie recipe if desired. Below are some of the more common variations and mix-ins for this recipe.

Various Fruits. You can mix up the overall flavor of this smoothie by adding different types of fruit if you wish. Some other delicious fruits to add include mango, kiwi, blueberries, raspberries, and bananas. Pretty much the sky is the limit so add whichever type of fruit you wish.

Coconut. You can also experiment by adding coconut flakes or chunks to your smoothie if you want an extra tropical flavor added to your smoothie.

Add Seeds. Adding seeds such as Chia seeds, and flaxseeds are one of the popular variations for this recipe.

Thickness. You can make this smoothie as thick or thin as you wish. To make it slightly waterier you can simply combine your frozen fruits with fresh fruit and add ice.

This will decrease the overall thickness of your smoothie. However, if you want to make your smoothie thicker, you can add a frozen banana to help thicken your overall consistency.
