Butter. For the best results for making this cake, use room temperature butter so that your sticks are slightly soft.
Although it is not specified in the original recipe whether you should use salted or unsalted butter, we have found great results with salted butter.
Cream cheese. Cream cheese is one of the ingredients that help to make this cake taste so delicious. For best results, you’ll want to use room temperature cream cheese.
Eggs. Any type of eggs will do as long as they are room temperature.
Sugar. We recommend using granulated sugar for this recipe. When using granulated sugar it will give your cake a light fluffy texture and white color.
Flour. You can simply use all-purpose flour for this cake recipe. There is no need to use cake flour unless you really want to.
Vanilla. Using vanilla extract flavor this cake will give the overall cake a delicious flavor.

How to prepare Miss Dot’s pound cake

The original instructions simply say to beat all of the ingredients together until they are combined.
Then pour them into a greased and flowered Bundt pan. Bake the cake starting in a cold oven at 300°F for approximately 1 ½ hours.
