How to Air Fry Frozen Spring Rolls

Are you ready for this? It’s really easy!

Step 1: Begin by removing your frozen spring rolls from their packaging. Discard packaging and place spring rolls in the basket of your air fryer.

Step 2: Lightly brush the top and bottom of your spring rolls with oil.

Step 3: Close your air fryer, and air fry your frozen spring rolls for five minutes at 400°F (204.4°C). When five minutes have passed, turn your spring rolls over, and continue to air fry for another two minutes, or until your spring rolls are heated through.

Step 4: Remove from your air fryer and place onto a serving tray. Serve alongside your desired dipping sauce and enjoy your easy and fabulous spring rolls made in an air fryer!

Note: Please note that we recommend air frying your spring rolls for approximately 8 to 10 minutes total, however, the air fryer time may vary depending upon your specific air fryer.

It’s always a good rule of thumb to set your timer for less time than you think it will take to cook your spring rolls, then add more time as needed so that they do not overcook or get burnt.

Tips & Tricks

Oil. We strongly recommend to you brush the outside of your frozen spring rolls with oil. You can use olive oil, vegetable oil, canola oil, avocado oil, or your favorite kind of oil. You may also use melted butter if desired.

Doing this will help turn a lovely golden brown on the outside, and have a crunchy texture to the spring rolls.

Divide Cook Time. We have also found that it works well to divide the cooking time so that you flip your spring rolls over part way through, and rotate them so that they cook evenly.

Rotate. It’s a good idea to rotate your spring rolls as they air fry. We recommend that part way through your air fry time, the spring rolls be rotated so that they cook evenly. Keep in mind the air fryers are different, and some have hotter spots than others.

What Temperature To Cook Frozen Spring Rolls

We have found that air frying frozen spring rolls at 400°F (204.4°C) will cook them nicely. Also try air frying your frozen spring rolls at 375°F (190.6°C) if desired.

Storing Cooked Spring Rolls

Frozen spring rolls that have been air fried are best when enjoyed fresh from the air fryer, however, if needed you can also store them for later.

Room Temperature. Air fried spring rolls should not be kept at room temperature any more than two hours, and should only be kept at room temperature for one hour if your temperature is 90°F (32.2°C) or above.

Refrigerator. Leftover air fried spring rolls should be stored in the refrigerator if you wish to keep them for a few days. In order to store for later, transfer your air fried spring rolls into an airtight container, or seal them in a plastic storage bag. Place in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days.

Freezer. We do not recommend that frozen spring rolls should be refrozen, once cooked in the air fryer. They do not turn out well, and are best when enjoyed fresh from the air fryer, and should not be frozen for a second time.

Reheating Fried Spring Rolls

Air fried spring rolls can be reheated using your air fryer. To reheat leftovers, place them back into your air fryer basket, and air fry for a couple of minutes at 400°F until your spring rolls are warmed through. This usually takes between three and five minutes to warm them through.

Substitutions and Variations

Oil Substitutions. You can of course substitute the oil for your favorite type of oil to air fry with, or you can simply brush the outside of your spring rolls with melted butter. Either way will give you a nice crispy texture to the outside of your air fried spring rolls.

Homemade Variation. You can also make your own homemade spring rolls if desired. To do this you will need to purchase rice paper from your local grocery store to wrap around your filling. Fill as desired, and some common ingredients include shredded carrots, cabbage, basil, cucumber, and your choice of meat if desired.

Wrap them inside of the spring roll rice wrappers and seal. Air fry according to the instructions above, but please note that they may take a little longer since you are using fresh ingredients.
