How to make Peanut Butter Corn Flake Candy

To start, take a thick saucepan and place it over medium heat on your stove. Into the saucepan add corn syrup and sugar. Stir the ingredients together and continue stirring occasionally as the ingredients warm and melt together.

Continue stirring over medium heat until the mixture begins to bubble lightly. The ingredients just need to come to a boil but do not boil long. You are looking for the sugar to dissolve in the mixture.

When the mixture starts to boil very lightly, add the peanut butter, stir it in, then remove it from the heat. Pour in the corn flakes and add the vanilla. Stir to combine.

Place parchment paper onto a clean surface such as a countertop or you can even use a cookie sheet.

Scoop the cornflake candy into balls and placed them onto the parchment paper to dry. Work quickly so that they do not set before they are scooped. Then let them cool and dry for a few minutes before enjoying them.

Tips & Tricks

Use a Scooper. Use a large cookie scoop if you can find one. This makes it easier to remove the cornflake candy from the scooper as you work.

Don’t Over Boil. This peanut butter mixture does not need to be boiled long on the stovetop, and it just needs to come to a very light boil in order for the ingredients to combine.

Let Cool. Before serving this cornflake candy, it’s a good idea to let it cool to room temperature, so that it does not burn you, and so that it has a chance to dry.
