In a large mixing bowl, start by combining your dry ingredients. When they have Allman added to the large mixing bowl, take your wire whisk, and mix them together in a circular motion for the best results.
Next, in another large bowl, combine your wet ingredients. Take your wire whisk and whisk them until combined.
Pour the wet ingredients into your dry ingredients, whisking them thoroughly until your pancake batter is made. Let your pancake batter rest for a few minutes at room temperature while you heat your griddle or frying pan.
Tip: I prefer to use a griddle as it tends to cook pancakes much better if you have the option. Another great option is to use a seasoned cast iron pan!
Heat the frying pan over medium heat or allow your griddle to warm until it becomes hot.
To get a nice crispy outer shell to your pancakes, melt butter in the frying pan or griddle. If you don’t have butter, you can use cooking spray or oil to help prevent your pancakes from sticking as well.
Into the hot griddle or frying pan, scoop the prepared better, then let it cook until it bubbles, and around the edges, you begin to see it become solid. Then use a spatula to carefully flip the pancakes over and cook the other side. Cook your pancakes on each side until you have beautiful golden brown hotcakes.
Repeat these steps above, until all of your pancakes are made.
Serve your delicious pancakes with a drizzle of maple syrup, or other desired toppings. Serve as soon as they are prepared and enjoy!
