¾cupbuttermilk, cold (or milk plus 1 tsp lemon juice)
Instructions
Whisk together flour, sugar, baking soda and salt.
Cut in ½ cup cold butter that is cut into tablespoons, until little balls of dough form.
Add buttermilk and mix well.
Roll dough onto floured surface until about 1/3inch thick. Cut dough into thirds, gently stacking the layers on top of each other.
Use a biscuit cutter to cut out 8-10 biscuits. Place them on a greased baking sheet.
Bake at 450F degrees for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve warm and enjoy!
