How To Reheat A Grilled Cheese

Keyword: How To Reheat A Grilled Cheese

Instructions

Stovetop

  • Begin by taking a nonstick pan, placing it over medium heat, and allowing the pan to warm for a few minutes.
  • After your pan has warmed, if desired, you may add a drizzle of olive oil, or lightly brush your pan with butter. This step is optional, and not required.
  • Place your grilled cheese sandwich into the warmed pan and allow it to heat over medium-low temperatures for a minute or two on each side just until your sandwich has warmed through once again.
  • After your sandwich has warmed on both sides, remove it from the pain, and enjoy it while warm.

Fry Pan

  • Begin by placing your pan over medium to low heat. Allow the pan to warm.
  • If desired, mania pan with butter, or oil.
  • Place your sandwich into the warmed pan and allow the sandwich to warm for a few minutes on each side just until the sandwich is warmed through.
  • Remove the sandwich from your pan, serve while warm, and enjoy your reheated sandwich!

Air Fryer

  • Begin by placing your sandwich inside the air fryer basket. If desired, you may brush both sides of your sandwich with a coating of butter before air frying.
  • Air fry your sandwich at 350°F for approximately 3 to 8 minutes. Begin by setting your timer for three minutes, and then turn your sandwich over, and repeat the process until your sandwich is warmed through.
  • *Please note that we have found it best to start with a low time, and check on your sandwich often so that you do not burn it. The amount of time it takes your sandwich to warm may vary depending upon your air fryer.

Microwave

  • Place your sandwich and a microwave-safe plate and stick it into the microwave. It is recommended that you cover your sandwich with a lid so that it does not dry out excessively. You could also try covering your sandwich with a lightly damp paper towel.
  • Microwave for 30-second intervals until your sandwich is warmed. Remove from the microwave and serve right away.

Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • Lightly greased cookie sheet with cooking spray, and arrange your sandwiches on your baking sheet.
  • Place your baking sheet with your sandwiches into the oven and allow them to warm for approximately 10 minutes.
  • Remove your sandwiches from the oven and flip them to the other side. Continue baking at 350°F for another 10 minutes and the remaining inside. Then remove from the oven and serve while warm.

Broiler

  • Preheat your oven by turning your broiler on low.
  • While your oven is preheating, spray a baking sheet with cooking spray, then arrange your grilled cheese sandwiches to reheat.
  • Place your baking sheet into the oven, and set a timer for approximately two minutes. Keep a very close eye on your sandwiches as they reheat under your broiler. When the time passes, or they are starting to get crispy, remove them from the oven. If they are still cool on the other side, you can try flipping them over and broiling them for another minute or two on the remaining side. Then you can serve when warm and enjoy.
  • Note: Please note that the cooking time under your broiler may vary depending upon your oven. Every oven is different, and some cook faster than others which is why it is extremely important to keep your eye on your sandwiches as they are under your broiler.

Crisper Pan

  • For those of you who choose to use a crisper pan to reheat your grilled cheese sandwich, double-check what uses your pan is intended for, such as whether it is microwave safe, or oven safe. Then, once you determine what your pain is intended to be used for, follow the instructions for the microwave, or for the oven methods.

Sandwich Press

  • Turn your sandwich press on and allow it to preheat.
  • Place your grilled cheese sandwich inside of your sandwich press and allow it to warm up. Once it is warm, remove it from your sandwich press, and enjoy it right away. Please note that the amount of time it takes to reheat your grilled cheese using a sandwich price or a Panini press may vary depending upon your specific press.

Toaster Oven

  • Preheat your toaster oven to 350°F
  • Place your sandwich onto a cooking sheet and cover with aluminum foil. Place into your toaster oven and bake for about 5 minutes. Remove from your toaster oven, flip your sandwich over, and bake for an additional 5 minutes. When your sandwich is warmed through, remove it from your toaster oven, and enjoy.

Grill

  • Line your grill grates with aluminum foil, then preheat your grill until it reaches 350°F or reaches a medium temperature.
  • Place your sandwich on top of the foil. Allow it to warm for a few minutes, typically between 3 to 5 minutes before flipping to the other side. Allow the other side to warm until your grilled cheese is warm, and your cheese is once again melty. Remove from the heat, serve, and enjoy.

Campfire

  • Surprisingly, you can also use a campfire to reheat your grilled cheese sandwiches if desired. This is a much less common method but works well if you are camping, or even out of power. To do this, you will want to place your sandwiches inside of a camper pie maker, and place into the fire for a few minutes on each side just until it is warmed through. Be sure to keep a close eye on your sandwich so that it doesn’t burn.
