Start by browning your meat. In a skillet, cook your bacon, and bratwurst. Once the bacon is cooked, remove it, and place it on a paper towel-lined plate for the grease to drain. When the bratwurst has been cooked, cut them into slices, and brown both sides of the slices. Then remove from the skillet and set aside.
In a pan, add pasta, and cover with water. Add in olive oil and salt. Bring to a boil, and simmer until your pasta is al dente. Drain the pasta and set it aside.
In a sauté pan add olive oil, minced garlic, and finally chopped onions. Sauté until your onions begin to turn in Golden Brown. Add in diced tomatoes, fresh basil, and cream cheese. Cook over low heat stirring often, until your cream cheese is melted.
Add your cooked pasta into the casserole dish, with 2 Tbsp butter. Allow the butter to coat your noodles. Next, add crushed bacon, and browned bratwurst slices. Finally, add in your prepared sauce, and desired seasonings. Stir so that all the pasta is coded in your sauce. If desired sprinkle with shredded cheese, and place in the oven at 350°F for 10 to 15 minutes until the cheese is melted. Or you can skip the baking process and serve right after everything has been combined in your dish. Serve and enjoy!
