Balsamic Vinegar Reduction

  • 1 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup optional


  • Combined balsamic vinegar with sweetner of your choice into a small sauce pan
  • Bring to a boil
  • Cook over medium - high heat (lower tempature if needed)
  • Cook until it is your desired consistancy. Should take between 4 to 10 minutes (most likely less). You will know it is done when the sauce coats the back of the spoon.
  • Remove from heat and serve immediately or place in the refrigurator to store.
