Place 1 cup of dark chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 1 minute.
Remove and stir chocolate chips until smooth.
Add 1 tbsp of heavy cream (optional) as a smoothing agent. Heavy cream can be substituted with coconut oil, butter or milk. It can also be omitted completely.
Prepare a parchment lined baking sheet. Dip the walnut halves into the chocolate and lay them on the parchment lined baking sheet to cool.
Once all the dipping has been completed, move the baking sheet to the freezer for at least 15 minutes to cool.
