The easiest way is to start off by taking a coffee filter and fold it so that it becomes a pouch. Scoop the coffee grounds into the folded coffee filter and place it carefully into the mug.
Add your desired amount of water, preferably cold water, into the microwave-safe container or mug. Heat the water just until it reaches the boiling point. You may watch to see when the water boils, but try not to overflow the cup. Heat the microwaved coffee for one to two minutes, or maybe even three minutes depending on your microwave, just until the water is hot.
Carefully remove the hot mug from the microwave and let the coffee rest for a minute. Then remove the coffee filter containing the grounds and discard it. Add cream and sugar as desired, then your hot cup of coffee is ready to enjoy.
Alternative Way to make Coffee in the Microwave
Another way you can make coffee in the microwave is to start off by heating water in the microwave until it is very hot, or just shy of boiling.
Once the water is hot, add the coffee filter, containing coffee grounds into the hot water. Let it set for 2 to 4 minutes, or until the coffee is brewed. Then remove the coffee grounds and discard them. Add cream and sugar as desired, then enjoy your cup of microwaved coffee.
