Begin making this dish by adding water and salt to your pot. Place the salt water over high heat and bring the water to a rolling boil.
When your water reaches a rolling boil, add the pasta and cook until it is al dente.
Remove one cup of pasta, water and set aside. Using a strainer, drain the rest of your water from the pasta.
Now, using the same pan, with the pasta removed, add ricotta cheese, Parmesan, and both the lemon juice and lemon zest. Start to combine. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir once more to combine.
Slowly pour the cup of pasta, water, that you set aside into your sauce mixture. Whisk until your sauce is smooth.
Pour your drained pasta back into the pan, and stir until it is completely coted in the sauce.
Transferred to your serving dish and garnish with dried basil. Serve right away and enjoy!
