Rinse the cauliflower and chop into florets. Peel the turnips and chop into large manageable chunks. Cook the cauliflower and turnips in boiling water, with the bay leaves and a pinch of salt. Reduce heat to medium low and cook until done, about 20 minutes.
Drain the vegetables well, remove and discard the bay leaves. Add the cauliflower and turnips to the food processor and pulse until desired mashed consistency is reached, or until smooth.
Return the mashed cauliflower and turnips to the large pot and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes to steam off the extra water. Do not brown.
Remove the mashed mixture from the heat and stir in the cream cheese, sour cream, milk and butter. Add a sprinkling of salt and pepper and serve immediately. Enjoy Cauliflower And Turnip Mash!
