Refrigerator. The first way to thaw chicken is to move it from the freezer and place it in the refrigerator one to two days before you plan to use it.
Cold Water. Make sure your chicken is sealed in an airtight bag, then place it into a bowl of cold water. Change the cold water every 30 minutes so that you are sure the temperature of your water stays cold.
Microwave. The other method you can use to thaw your chicken is to place it into your microwave on the defrost function. When your chicken is thawed, it should be cooked immediately after it has been microwaved.
