Begin by preheating your grill to an internal temperature of 400°F.
Next, prepare your garlic bulbs. You can begin by peeling any extra layers of the papery outside to your garlic bulbs. Be sure to leave at least one layer intact so that your garlic bulb stays whole.
Next, use a sharp knife and cut the top of your garlic bulb off. The top of your garlic bulb is the side with one stem sticking up.
Please you’re prepared garlic bulbs on a sheet of aluminum foil. Drizzle the top with olive oil so that the oil can soak into your garlic. Wrap securely in aluminum foil.
Place your whole garlic bulbs wrapped in foil on the grill. Allow the garlic to cook for approximately 30 to 40 minutes, or until the garlic is soft, and they begin to appear slightly caramelized. Remove from the grill.
Allow the grilled garlic to cool slightly before unwrapping the aluminum foil. Sprinkle the top with salt and pepper as desired. You may also choose to remove the garlic cloves if desired or serve them whole. Serve and enjoy or set aside your grilled garlic to use another recipe.
