½Tbsplemon juice
¾cupmozzarellashredded cheese
1tbspbuttermelted
saltto taste
Toppings for the Mushrooms
1/3cupparmesan
1TbspItalian seasoning
green onionsminced, optional to taste
parsleyoptional and to taste
Instructions
Start off by preparing your mushrooms. To prepare, rinse your mushrooms in cold water and allow them to dry. Then, take each mushroom individually and pop the stem out using your thumb and finger from the center of each mushroom. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl, combine all of your stuffing ingredients. Stir until mixed.
Take a small cookie scoop, or spoon and stuff the hollow of your mushrooms with you’re feeling. Make sure it is packed securely. Place each mushroom on a lightly greased baking sheet and preheat your oven to 350°F.
After each mushroom has been stuffed, place your mushrooms on a baking sheet into the oven. Bake for approximately 10 to 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and your mushrooms are soft. Remove from the oven, and sprinkle the top of each mushroom with Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, green onions, and parsley if desired. Sprinkle with salt, then serve right away and enjoy.
Notes
Please note that the filling may make extra depending upon the size of your mushrooms. You may choose to include the stems in the stuffing, or you can discard them, whatever you prefer.
