Perhaps you might be wondering if it is even possible to air fry a toaster strudel, and we are so happy to tell you that the answer is yes, you can.
We are going to show you step-by-step instructions on how you can easily air fry a frozen toaster strudel and have it turn out to be amazing.
Why use the air fryer versus the toaster?
There are many reasons why we would recommend using the air fryer you cook your frozen toaster strudel rather than using a toaster. As you may have noticed when you use a toaster, it often gets really crispy and brown on the outside, but it is still frozen on the inside of your toaster strudel.
When you air fry a frozen toaster strudel it allows you to cook it nice and even so that it is warmed all the way through, and still nice and crispy on the outside without getting burned.
Pretty much, you get to enjoy a delicious toaster strudel cooked in the air fryer that tastes better than any toaster strudel you have ever had.
Let’s turn our attention to what you will need in order to air fry frozen toaster strudels to perfection.

What you’ll need to make toaster strudel in air fryer
Ingredients needed:
Frozen Toaster Strudels
How to Make Toaster Strudel in the Air Fryer
Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (177°C)
When your air fryer is preheated, remove your frozen toaster strudels from their packaging and set them in your air fryer basket with space in between. Make sure you arrange the toaster strudels in a single layer.
Air fry for approximately 3 ½ minutes, then open your air fryer basket, turn the toaster strudels over, and continue air frying for another 2 to 3 ½ minutes.
When your toaster strudels are warmed through, remove them from the air fryer basket and allow them to rest for a minute before adding your icing. Drizzle with icing, then serve right away and enjoy.
How long do you cook toaster strudels in the air fryer?
Please note that the air fry time may vary depending upon your specific air fryer, and if your toaster strudels are frozen solid or not. On average, when air frying your toaster strudels at 350°F it will take between five and seven minutes for them to be cooked to perfection.
Air Frying Tips
Flip halfway. In order for your toaster strudels to cook evenly in the air fryer, we recommend that you flip the toaster strudels when they are approximately halfway done cooking. This allows the heat to be evenly distributed so that they cook evenly.
Decrease time if thawed. The recommended cook time given above assumes that your toaster strudels are frozen completely. If your toaster strudels are slightly thawed, then you will want to decrease the time that you air fry them by a minute or two. A good rule of thumb is to check on them often to make sure they are done to perfection.
How to Serve
The best way to enjoy your frozen toaster strudel is to serve them fresh from the air fryer. As soon as they are done cooking, add your frosting, then serve them right away.

How to Store and Reheat

Reheating
Can I Reheat Them?
Yes, toaster strudels that have been cooked in your air fryer may be reheated at a later time if desired. Keep in mind that most cooked toaster strudels will already have the frosting on them, so you will need to be careful when reheating them.
To reheat a toaster strudel we recommend using the air fryer at 300°F (149°C) for approximately 5 to 8 minutes or until your toaster strudel is warmed through. We recommend a lower temperature due to the frosting.

Air Fryer Puff Pastry Toaster Strudel
Ingredients for air fryer toaster strudel
One package of puff pastry
A jar of your favorite type of jelly or jam
Softened cream cheese if desired, please note that this ingredient is optional.
How to Make Homemade Toaster Strudels in Your Air Fryer
Begin by opening your roll of puff pastry. Once open and smooth flat, we recommend using a pizza cutter to slice your puff pastry into an even number of rectangles. We find that you will need two rectangles to make one toaster strudel.
When you have your shapes cut, take your jam or jelly and spread it on ½ of your toaster strudel sides.
Make sure that you may have approximately ½ inch around the edge of your rectangle to press it together. If desired you can also add some softened cream cheese down the center of your puff pastry rectangle as well.
Brush around the half-inch space without fillings, with a dab of water. You can use a wet finger as long as it is clean, or a brush. You want just enough water to make it moist, but not enough to cause it to pool.
Now, when you have one side with the fillings, and one side just plain puff pastry, take the plain side and set it on top of your field side.
Use a fork to press the edges together.
Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (177°C).
Use a spatula to move your prepared toaster strudels from your work surface into the air fryer basket once your air fryer is preheated.
Replace the basket and bake for 5 to 8 minutes, flipping halfway through your air fry time.
Remove them from the air fryer when they are cooked to your liking.
Allow them to rest for a few minutes.
While they are resting, in a small mixing bowl, combine powdered sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until no lumps remain to make the icing.
Drizzle your icing on top of your air fried homemade toaster strudels, then serve right away and enjoy!

Tips for Homemade Toaster Strudel in Air Fryer
Handling The Puff Pastry Sheets. Be very careful when you handle the puff pastry sheets, because they can be fragile.
Also be sure to cut your pieces into even shapes, with an even number so that you have two halves for every homemade toaster strudel.
Cooking Times May Vary. Please note that the cooking times may vary depending on your air fryer. Some cook faster than others, so you may need to add or decrease the estimated cook time by a minute or two.
A great rule of thumb is to set the timer for less than you think you will need, and add more time as needed.
Storing Suggestions
At room temperature. We recommend that you allow your homemade toaster strudels to cool to room temperature before storing them.
However, you should not leave them at room temperature for any longer than two hours before you run the risk of them spoiling.
