A box grater and a peeler turn raw turnips and carrots into a fresh, crispy, light Sweet And Sour Turnip And Carrot Salad. It is very healthy and tasty too. Shred the vegetables for an elegant appearance or chop them for a more practical look. Almost any vinaigrette or dressing would work here, but this really flavorful Asian dressing brings a variety of tastes to the raw vegetables.  The variety of colorful ingredients adds interest to the appearance of the dish. It makes a beautiful spring salad and of course it can be enjoyed year round.

Sweet And Sour Turnip And Carrot Salad

Instructions:
Peel the carrots and turnips, then coarsely grate them. Toss them together in a large bowl. In a medium bowl, use a whisk to mix together the remaining components that will make up the sauce: lime juice, oils, sugar, cayenne pepper and fish sauce. Mix until the sugar dissolves. Pour the dressing over the grated vegetables, tossing to coat. Sprinkle with the cilantro and sesame seeds.
