Once it is preheated, open your package of frozen waffles, and add as many as you can fit in a single layer into your air fryer basket. Please note the quantity that will fit will depend upon your specific air fryer.

You do not want to layer them, but instead arrange them in a single layer, preferably with some space in between. 

Place the air fryer basket into the air fryer, and air fry at 350°F (177°C) for 4 minutes. After the 4 minutes have passed, open the air fryer basket, and turn the waffles over.

Continue air frying for another 3 to 5 minutes or until the waffles are done to your preference. 

Once the waffles are done to your liking, open the air fryer basket, remove the waffles, add your desired toppings, then serve and enjoy.

Cooking Time and Temperature

Please note that the cooking times may vary depending on your specific air fryer. Smaller air fryers may take less time, and larger ones may take a little more time depending on how you like your waffles done.

We recommend that you start with less time and add more as needed.

Don’t Thaw. For the best results, we recommend you do not thaw your waffles before air frying them.

Instead, remove them directly from the freezer, and add to your air fryer basket. We have found that you get to enjoy the best results when air frying them from their frozen state. 

Add More Time. We also recommend that for the best results, you set the timer for less time than you think you’ll need, then add more to cook your frozen waffles to perfection. 

Storing & Reheating

Storage Tips

At room temperature. For best results with food safety, we recommend that you do not keep your air-fried waffles at room temperature any longer than two hours. After that, they should be stored or thrown away. 

In the fridge. If you have any leftover air-fried waffles that you would like to keep for later, you can transfer them to an airtight container or save them in a plastic storage bag. Then place them into the fridge for up to 3 to 4 days. 


In the air fryer. To reheat leftover air fried waffles in the air fryer, preheat it to 350°F (177°C), then add your leftover waffles into the air fryer basket, and air fry for a total of 5 to 8 minutes, just until the waffles are warmed through.

We do recommend that you flip the waffle halfway through the reheating time. 

In the oven. If you have a lot of leftover waffles, you can also reheat them in the oven.

To do this you want to place them on a cookie sheet, then preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C). Once it is reheated add your waffles into the oven and bake for approximately 5 to 10 minutes or until the waffles are warm. 

In the toaster. You can also reheat your leftover frozen waffles in the toaster if desired.

Depending on your toaster, you may have to put it through a few cycles until it gets warmed through. Keep in mind that you do not want it to burn on the outside while still being cold on the inside.

In the microwave. You can also microwave leftover waffles by placing them on a microwave-safe plate, then microwaving them for one to two minutes until they are warm.

How to Cook Mini Waffles in Air Fryer

Cooking mini Eggo frozen waffles in the air fryer is going to be very similar to the instructions given above.

Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (177°C). When it’s preheated and your frozen mini waffles to the air fryer basket.

Air fry for approximately 3 minutes, then flip and continue air frying for another 2 to 4 minutes until your mini waffles are done to your liking.
