What You’ll Need

Frozen Brussels sprouts

Cooked bacon, crumbled

Olive oil

Salt and spices (such as garlic salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and sea salt)

Balsamic vinaigrette, optional 

How to Cook Frozen Brussels Sprouts in the Air Fryer

To begin making your air fried frozen Brussels sprouts, start by lightly spraying your air fryer basket with oil, then remove the package from your freezer, open it, and pour the Brussels sprouts into the air fryer basket. 

Air fry frozen Brussels sprouts at 400°F for 10 minutes. Remove the Brussels sprouts from your air fryer, and allow them to cool for a few minutes. 

When they are cool enough to handle, cut each of your Brussels sprouts in half. This is optional but strongly recommended as it will prevent your Brussels sprouts from becoming mushy in the center. 

Next, pour your halves of Brussels sprouts into a mixing bowl, toss with olive oil. Add garlic salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and sea salt mixture, and toss until combined. 

Transfer your seasoned Brussels sprouts from the mixing bowl back into your air fryer basket. Air fry at 400°F for an additional 10 to 15 minutes or until they are crispy.

Cook from Frozen. We have found that air frying frozen Brussels sprouts works better than allowing them to thaw first. When you air fry your Brussels sprouts directly from frozen, they become crispier and taste better overall.

Cut in Half. Other cutting your Brussels sprouts in half is optional, we strongly recommend, as it allows your Brussels sprouts to be crispy throughout, rather than only crispy on the outside and mushy on the inside.

Storing and Reheating

Air fried frozen Brussels sprouts are best when enjoyed fresh from the air fryer, however, they may be stored for later if needed. 

Room Temperature. Frozen Brussels sprouts cooked in the air fryer should be kept at room temperature for no more than two hours before they go bad. 

Refrigerator. Leftovers may be stored in the fridge if needed. To refrigerate place in an airtight container, or seal in a plastic storage bag once your Brussels sprouts have cooled. Refrigerate for up to 3 to 4 days. Please note that your air fried Brussels sprouts are going to be best when enjoyed fresh, and will not be quite the same once stored for later.

Reheating. You may reheat Brussels sprouts in the air fryer, or oven if desired. To reheat, place in your air fryer basket and air fryer at 350°F for approximately 10 minutes or until your Brussels sprouts have warmed. 

You can also reheat your Brussels sprouts in the oven if desired. Place your Brussels sprouts onto a cookie sheet, and bake in your oven at 350°F for 10 to 20 minutes or until your Brussels sprouts are warm.
