What tools do you need to make this recipe?

Before you start it is important to have the correct kitchen tools in order to make this recipe. There are only a few things you will need.

Mandolin or knife

Easy Air Fryer Zucchini Recipe

Recipe ingredients:

Zucchini

Olive oil

Garlic salt

Lemon juice

Salt and pepper

Recipe substitutions:

Zucchini. We recommend using zucchini for this air fryer recipe, however, you may also substitute with yellow summer squash if desired. 

Olive oil. Our favorite oil to use for this recipe is olive oil because it tastes great and is relatively beneficial to your health. However, if needed you may substitute olive oil for another type of oil or butter but be aware of that oil smoke point.

Lemon juice. Lemon juice service helps prevent your squash from turning brown, and it helps to look at the overall flavor of your zucchini. If needed you may substitute lemon juice for freshly squeezed lemon juice, or lime juice. 

Seasonings. Zucchini does not require a lot of extra flavors to be added to it. Some of our favorite seasonings to add to zucchini include garlic salt, salt, and pepper. This allows you to add a slight bit of flavor, without overpowering your zucchini. You may substitute these seasonings as desired.

How to make this air fryer zucchini:

Preheat the Air Fryer

Begin by preheating your air fryer to 400°F. Allow your air fryer to warm before you add your zucchini. 

How to Cut Zucchini

While your air fryer is warming up, prepare your zucchini. Rinse and dry each squash, then remove both ends. Slice your zucchini into pieces that are approximately ¼ inch thick. 

Season the Zucchini

Add your sliced zucchini into a mixing bowl. Add your seasonings and olive oil. Toss until combined. 

Into the Air Fryer

Move your prepared zucchini slices into the air fryer basket, allow for any excess oil to drain, then place them into the air fryer. Air fry your zucchini for approximately 15-20 minutes depending on your air fryer. 

Remove & Enjoy!

Remove your zucchini from the air fryer when it is soft to the touch and slightly crispy. Serve while hot, and enjoy! 

Notes

If desired, you can add additional toppings to your zucchini before serving. Sprinkling them with Parmesan cheese is always a good option.
